When it comes to makeup, there are a ton of different trends that you can follow and many different colors and styles that you can use, especially when spring rolls around.  Well, I am here to give you some tips and tricks that are going to work beautifully for not only the springtime but also for the summer!

One trend that is huge this spring is long, long lashes.  For one, long lashes are something that is absolutely craved and something that everyone wants, especially right now.  Whether you are getting fake lashes or you are coating up the lashes you have, long lashes are in!

Next, we will talk about the lips and what colors are in for your lips.  Seriously, you gotta stay tuned!

Brick, crimson, blush – really any red that you want, you can truly get yourself some beautiful red hues for your lips.  You also want to make sure that they are shiny lips, as that is another trend that ties right into the red lip trend.

Spring is all about color and when you are dealing with makeup, you truly want to pop this spring!

What you want to do here is go with a light touch. If the environment is casual, you should be casual too — it will give you more of an opportunity to let your true self shine through.

Pretty, sheer pink eye shadow is a great idea here, especially if it is a cream shadow. Blush should be pink as well, a creamy, sheer matte. Mascara should be deep brown or black, but just go with one coat.

Last but not least, let your lips glow with a sheer golden gloss.

Now, my lovely little fashionistas, I want you to take a look at the picture to your right.  No, my dears, that is in fact not Marilyn Manson.  Nor is it an updated version of the Mona Lisa.

It is one of the many, many … many, many models joining the current trend involving eyebrows — or, rather, an unseemly, disturbing lack of eyebrows.

I confess, I obsess over eyebrows; I have since the very first time I got mine — wince — waxed.  I obsess over their size, their shape, their thickness … and now I am obsessing over their very existence.  Have I often fantasized about just shaving all my eyebrows off and drawing them in the way I want them?  Would I ever do it?  Not unless it involved a money bet with lots of zeros.  No way, no how, kids — and so, I really do not like this new look.  More than anything, I hope it stays on the runway and does not come catwalking off into daily life.

Still, you no longer have to fear going out with your face made up to perfection — you can be a little more comfortable, a little more natural.  A light, airy foundation or even simply some powder.  Some light mascara if you like — or leave it off if you so choose.  You can gloss your lips with something clear or with a light, peachy color — which also looks great as a blush, if you want some highlights.  The point is, do not be afraid to show your freckles or anything — you will still look stunning.

This season, it is getting lots fancier.  We are beginning to get away from the natural look with our fingernails, so for the time being, a little buff and gloss is not really going to cut it — although that will work quite nicely on your lips, as you will see later this week.

No, be bold with your fingernails.  That does not necessarily mean turning to acrylics or getting your manicurist to design some works of art that would make Da Vinci proud on your nails — but go right ahead, if doing those things would strike your fancy!

Just painting your nails in a bold purple or daring red will do the trick just as well.  Just remember to take care of your nails!

Personally, I love the classic red lip.  I think that it looks incredible, is absolutely appealing in all of the right ways and if you do it right and pick the right shade for your skin tone; you can definitely attract some incredible men … or women if you like.

So come on, pull out your little black dress and pair it with some red lips!

So now that we have gone over the reds for spring, I thought I would show you what the pinks look like.  Personally, never thought that pink could look good but I have to say that it is very, very springy and it is definitely one of the favorite colors for most girls during the spring months.  This particular shade of pink is honestly one of the prettiest and it looks fantastic!

Not only does pink filter all the way from the eyes down to the lips, but the color on the cheek is something that pulls it all together and I can not wait to try this look out for myself!

One of the biggest things that people forget when they think of fashion is going to be makeup!  Cosmetics are honestly what pulls an entire look together and if you are not the type of person that wears a lot of makeup, that’s okay!  You just need to wear a little bit and keep with the season and you’ll see just how beautiful you really, really can be!  Honestly!  Makeup for this season, with spring rapidly approaching is going to be light, airy and definitely jam-packed with colors!
