Androgyny is a major trend in the coming seasons; it is that one intriguing leitmotif that keeps cropping up again and again, both for men’s fashions and women’s fashions.

That is the signature twist for Afira’s fashions as well. There is something decidedly raw and masculine in the leather pieces of this collection, which perfectly complement the dainty elements to be found in the sheer fabrics and figure hugging designs.

So I for one am looking forward to seeing gothic fashions emerge into the mainstream. This is extremely well done, both elegant and edgy.

Now, my lovely little fashionistas, I want you to take a look at the picture to your right. No, my dears, that is in fact not Marilyn Manson. Nor is it an updated version of the Mona Lisa.

It is one of the many, many … many, many models joining the current trend involving eyebrows — or, rather, an unseemly, disturbing lack of eyebrows.

I confess, I obsess over eyebrows; I have since the very first time I got mine — wince — waxed. I obsess over their size, their shape, their thickness … and now I am obsessing over their very existence. Have I often fantasized about just shaving all my eyebrows off and drawing them in the way I want them? Would I ever do it? Not unless it involved a money bet with lots of zeros. No way, no how, kids — and so, I really do not like this new look. More than anything, I hope it stays on the runway and does not come catwalking off into daily life.

Well, recently on Amazing Wedding Cakes, the girls behind Cake Alchemy decided to put together what they called a chandelier wedding cake for an expo in New York City.

And it is the most hideous monstrosity I have ever seen.

In theory, yes, it is spectacular, what with all the intricately blown sugar designs and all of that. But a., may I be struck dead if I ever see a chandelier like that, and b., may I then be struck dead again. I love Cake Alchemy, so it pains me not to love this take. Just remember, pastry fashion is like any other fashion: do it because it looks good, not because someone tells you it’s stylish.

It’s not little in the way you might be thinking it is little. It is not a little black dress. It’s more like a … Little Black Dress. All capital’s. You need them to help cover up some of the skin this dress reveals:

I think that might be Kate Moss — everybody knows her by her panties by now. But, you know, I don’t care. This is definitely not the kind of dress I myself would ever wear. Ever, ever, ever. Even if I looked like this model who looks like — and might be — Kate Moss, I still wouldn’t have the cajones. I couldn’t possibly have the cajones; you could see them through this dress.

But, you know, I’d dream of wearing this dress, and I would immediately love anyone else I saw wearing it. I think Roberto Cavalli is to women what Alexander McQueen is to men. In fact, McQueen should design some suits to complement this dress.

Anyway, point being: I should not love this. But I do. I love the sheer fabric, I love the ruffles, and I love the wicked femininity it inspires.

So really, I have to be honest, I am a chick that loves Katy Perry. I think that she is a rock star in her own right and I definitely think that she has what it takes to rule this world. I love her style, her fashion sense and really – really everything about this chick and when I found out that she is actually quite the fashion buff and she created her own line for Fashion Against AIDs, well that made me love her all that much more!

She is one of those girls that you would think that she wouldn’t be into fashion at all – but she definitely is and she actually thinks of herself as a ‘girly girl’, which is kinda crazy. So if you are looking for something that is different and totally off the wall, you should absolutely check out Katy’s signature line.

I’m sure that you will fall for it just like I did! It … truly is incredible dudes and chicks!

When it comes to spring, all that I think about is the colors, the beautiful fabrics and the fact that I can finally put the boots, coats, scarves and layers of clothing away. That is what Benjamin Cho did in this spring collection. This incredible collection is an assortment of body-con mini-dresses, skinny pants and off-the-shoulder shirts and dresses. The beauty of these pieces, this one in particular is honestly breathtaking and I have to say that this outfit screams spring!

Not only is the model really selling this particular outfit, but I have to say that the color choice that Ben picked in beautiful, the way that the skirt flows and the shirt ties in looks great and overall, I give this incredible outfit a ten!

So if you are looking for some incredible pieces for your spring wardrobe, you should definitely check out Benjamin Cho’s spring collection, I can promise that you are going to love it and see that he really did capture the essence of spring in his clothing!
