Now that we have talked a little bit about one of the dress trends that I love, let’s move onto another trend that is going to be huge this spring and summer and to be honest – it’s awesome. Sparkle and shine, which is what this spring and summer is all about!

This trend has been around quite a long time and I can tell you for sure that it is absolutely beautiful however you do not want to overdo it on the sparkle. You want to keep it all chic and do not become a showy girl, because that is just not flattering.

The cool thing about sparkles is that you can use a lot of them or just have some of them, it depends on your mood!

When it comes to fashion, it is something that is constantly switching and changing up and it can be very, very difficult to actually keep up with a lot of the trends that are out there, but that is what I am here for, to ensure that you are up to date on a lot of the fashion trends that are out there!

For example, did you know that knotting and draping in the way of shirts and dresses is actually one of the hottest fashion trends out there? It is not about being complicated, in fact, it is about being simple and I have to say that these dresses are incredible looking!

You want style and fashion? Make sure that you incorporate some Ancient Greek into some of your clothing choices!

What Is In in 2010: 1

There are going to be a lot of hot, sultry looks emerging in the spring and summer season of 2010 and we are going to take a look at the two steamiest ones.

This one will cause a reaction like fire and ice wherever you go: dresses with high, high slits. This is the look ideal for fashionistas and stylish girls who want to show off their legs but don’t feel that microscopic mini skirts are really their thing.

Dresses with high splits have run the gamut from Lanvin to Versace; the trend is just getting started.

To pull it off properly, make sure you stay away from flats. A look like this begs for your best pair of high heels.

Tanned legs are a plus but if that’s not you, at least promise to go bare legged.

Fashionistas, the big day — and bigger night — is coming, it is only four days away! How many of you have decided what you are going to wear on New Year’s Eve?

Your outfit is important, you know. What you are wearing when the ball drops and you usher in a brand new year most definitely sets the tone for your stylishness in the coming year.

If you have not made a final decision on your fashionable ensemble, allow me to make some suggestions! Metallic dresses are all the rage for New Year’s Eve. Their glitz and glitter lend themselves perfectly to the glamor of the occasion.

However, a dress with this much sparkle demands understated accessories. Shoes, accessories, and makeup should all be a bit more neutral; do not take the focus away from your dress.

As we all well know, the holiday season is finally upon us. We also know that the fundamentals of this part of the year revolve around family, friends, and loved ones: spending time with each other, being thankful, expressing our love for each other — and for getting together to celebrate the season.

There are office parties, family parties, parties being thrown by friends and friends of friends and colleagues and acquaintances: there are so many parties, you can’t even count them!

But that does not mean you have to buy a separate outfit for all of these parties, oh no.

You just need some basic foundations, to begin with, and you can build with there. For instance, start off with the classic LBD, in several styles: short, medium, and long.

Dress Trends For Autumn/Winter 2010: 2

Now that we have touched on the LBD, let’s go ahead and get into another trend in dresses that I am seeing pop up everywhere. Right now – solid dresses seem to be the trends but slowly but surely, that is changing and designers are looking at switching it up a little bit and going with brighter and bigger colors.

Also what the designers are doing is mixing up the colors – for example, having one color on the bottom and one different color on the top. That is something that has been gracing the runway since earlier this year and will still be going strong next year.

Dresses like this are extremely fresh and different and I have to say that I love them – I think that the designers really mix it up well and put the colors together fabulously!

When it comes to fashion, it is something that is constantly changing up and switching gears. That is what we are here for though, to keep you in the loop about what is out there and what you can expect when you are looking for the latest fashion trends! Well – I can tell you that the little black dress for the fall/winter has been updated and looks incredible!

Not only does this dress look awesome on the models but I can tell you that whether you are looking for a simple, little black dress or you want something that is a little bit more dramatic, I can assure you that they are walking down the runway!

Exploring Vaudeville with Ann Demuelemeester

Depression Chic and designers like Alberta Ferretti are not the only ones featuring trends, with a modern twist, of decades gone by. All the little fashionistas around the world know that they can look to designers like Ann Demuelemeester to see the latest, most cutting edge fashion. Like Alexander McQueen, she is eclectic, innovative, and truly avant garde. She is original and unfailingly has her finger on the pulse of tomorrow’s whims and the future’s trends. She could, perhaps should, in fact, be considered a trend setter.

For instance, it will be a surprise if her Vaudeville inspired version of the little black dress does not become the new trend on upscale cocktail parties and even younger red carpet functions.

It is not quite like a flapper dress, though some of the inspirations are clearly the same. The drop waist, however, is part of a subtly different era, and is more classic than ostentatiously glamorous.

They say if you wait a few decades — sometimes it only takes two, sometimes it takes five, sometimes it even takes as many as eight decades — every trend will come back in style. Sadly, it seems like some of the less fortunate trends (shoulder pads and leg warmers, anyone?) came back much too soon, while we have been waiting for years for the really classy ones to make a comeback.

But thanks be to whatever fashion deities rule the Mount Olympus of style, because flapper chic is finally coming back into the mainstream.

Jason Wu Resort 2010: His Collection Rocks!

It has to be said that Jason Wu is definitely the latest and greatest up and comer and his newest collection is absolutely breathtaking! Jason showed his new collection in NY just yesterday and I have to say that the fashion show rocked and there were a ton of different pieces that were absolutely incredible! The folds of the fabric were great, the sexy necklines were apparent and there are a heck of a lot of drapes and pleats to talk about.

Jason Wu really understands a woman’s need to be able to go from day to evening with just a few twists and turns of the fabric. It is all about comfort and finding exactly what the all America girl wants in his collection and if you see it – you know.

There were a ton of different colors that were there everything from rainbow pleats all the way to electric blues and greens and they were all totally worth the wait!
