Guess what? Sweats are making a comeback. Well, sweatshirts are on the rise again, anyway. Remember back in the day when there was nothing more comfortable and fashionable than wearing your favorite sweatshirt? Maybe it was loose, maybe it was long, maybe it was tight, maybe it was sloppy — it didn’t matter, because it looked good and you felt good in it.

Well, this fall, you can embrace that feeling again. It is a nod to the fact that the styles of the 80s are coming back with a vengeance. This is one of the few 80s styles that I can actually live with comfortable.

The Next Word in Jewelry for this Fall

Fashion simply is not fashion without the accessories, and Phashion would not be Phashion if we did not take the time to tell you what to expect in the way of jewelry trends in the coming months of fall and winter.

Right now, it looks like necklaces will provide the centerpieces of most jewelry collections. Accentuating your neck line is what it is all about this fall.

Specifically, bib necklaces like the one featured here are the way to go, specifically because they are so bold and attention grabbing.

Flowers are another upcoming jewelry trend. Rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces — if it is floral, then it is fabulous. This is also a great way to keep some spring and summer brightness during the grey months of the coming winter.

As well, rhinestones, studs, chains, metals, and lots of silver for a rock and roll look will do you well!

Zara’s Autumn/Winter 2009 Collection: Check It Out!

When I think of fashion, I think of an ever-changing market and that is something that I actually look forward too. I get tired of seeing the exact same thing all of the time and that is something that fashion is not – the same thing all of the time. Take Zara’s brand new collection for the Fall and Winter months of this year – it s very fashion-forward and has a lot of urban ties into it.

Zara is a brand that I was not familiar with until just now and honestly, I think that it is a brand that I am going to familiarize myself with. Their newest collection is a mixture of thigh high boots, boyfriend jeans and accentuated shoulders, which is all something that I love!

Another great thing about Zara is that they feature all sorts of different Toni Garrn models, which are all beautiful and fit the clothes fantastic!

Prada Autumn (Fall)/Winter 2009/2010 Advertising

When it comes to advertising, we all know that Prada has it hands-down. To be honest, Prada to me is something that is so beautiful, so awesome and the fact that all of these models on their new campaign for Fall/Winter 2009/2010 collection. The thigh-high boots are it for me and I think that Prada definitely out did themselves with this ad.

The colors however are something to be desired. Personally, I do not think that brown needs to be the main color in any fashion anything, however … there is some red in there and that is a highlight for me. However, can we kind of have a chat about the hair?

Overall, this ad is a good one … I love the boots, the style and okay … a little bit of the hair, but honestly I think that the colors are something that they need to work on a little bit!

Get Sexy for Christmas

The Holidays are a wonderful time to get dressed up and look sexy. I found these two pieces over at Ivillage, and I just had to share them with you. First of all, the beaded shrug is absolutely gorgeous, and only $45 at ShopIntuition.com. It shows just a little skin, but still leaves lots to the imagination. The black strapless taffeta dress, I though, would be perfect for parties or intimate dinners. It’s stunning with the velvet ribbon waist, and it’s just $168 at BananaRepublic.com. Both pieces together would make a beautiful ensemble for the holidays.

Feathers are in for Fall/Winter

I love feathers. I think they look elegant on practically anything (of course even I would have to question their use on shoesJ ) Still, the feather trend is really popular this season. The bag in the picture is from Maison de Vacances, and it’s a beautiful shoulder bag that gives a hint of the feather fashion, without going completely overboard. The red gives a great hint of the bold red hues for fall. This particular bag is $570 at Calypso Christiane Celle in New York City. It’s beautiful, sexy, and would make a wonderful gift for a special lady this Christmas.

Should You Save Your Outdated Fashion?

I thought that I would take a moment to prove the old adage that if you hold on to a fashion piece long enough, it will come back into style. These photos are from two separate designers, and from years apart. They are so similar that if you bought the first one in 2005, you could surely wear it again in the coming Spring months and people will burst over how “in style” you are. The first is a Balenciaga from the Fall/Winter 2005 Collection. The second is from the Lanvin Spring/Summer 2008 collection. Notice how similar they are. It just goes to show that designs never really go out of style, they just hibernate for a bitJ
