Now, my lovely little fashionistas, I want you to take a look at the picture to your right.  No, my dears, that is in fact not Marilyn Manson.  Nor is it an updated version of the Mona Lisa.

It is one of the many, many … many, many models joining the current trend involving eyebrows — or, rather, an unseemly, disturbing lack of eyebrows.

I confess, I obsess over eyebrows; I have since the very first time I got mine — wince — waxed.  I obsess over their size, their shape, their thickness … and now I am obsessing over their very existence.  Have I often fantasized about just shaving all my eyebrows off and drawing them in the way I want them?  Would I ever do it?  Not unless it involved a money bet with lots of zeros.  No way, no how, kids — and so, I really do not like this new look.  More than anything, I hope it stays on the runway and does not come catwalking off into daily life.

Although, I have to say that the models at the latest spring/summer 2010 show for D&G did not look half bad … I just hope that they do not bring this particular trend back to the women as well, because most denim on denim looks for women look absolutely horrid and I would hate to be wearing it all over again!

However – guys, if you want to wear your jeans with a denim jacket, apparently you can get away with it now!

So really, I had no idea exactly what an ethnic trend would be considered but it look likes it has.  These are the latest and ‘greatest’ fashions for this spring and honestly … really, I do not think that I agree with them at all.  There are a ton of different themes that I have absolutely fallen head over heels for and this is just not one of them.  Christopher Kane is the designer to blame for half of these, but that’s okay!  I don’t really plan on blaming him.

I guess I would be okay with half of the trend of they all just did not look freakin’ stupid!  I mean the gold and blue ‘dresses’ look like sacks and the leopard print thing paired with that ‘skirt’ is absolutely terrible!  So to be honest, I do not think that this is the greatest trend in the world.

However, there are some things nice to say about it and I think that the fact that there are some bold colors in there says a lot!

Alexander Amosu is a designer that I had never really heard of until I saw that he designed the most incredible and expensive suit in the world!  This suit is by far one of the best on the market too, but with the price tag of over one hundred thousand dollars, I do not think that I will be purchasing this suit anytime soon.

Now, you are probably wondering exactly what makes this suit so expensive and why anyone … in the world would purchase something this expensive.  Well, what makes this suit different from all of the others is the fact that beautiful and took over 80 hours to make … by hand.  This suit was entirely crafted by hand and it is made from Vicuna, which is a very rare and wild South American animal which is related to a camel.

This incredible animal only produces enough wool for shearing about every three months and it is by far the most expensive wool in the world.  This suit also features over five thousand stitches and there are also diamonds incorporated into the buttons.  Now do you want it?

Celebrities are just some of the people that flock to New York Fashion Week, there are also the devoted fans and honestly, if you are a fan of Project Runway, you definitely want to make sure that you make the trip next year to Fashion Week – that way maybe you can see all of those beautiful clothes even before the series goes on the air!

While this piece is not (I don’t think!) from one of the Project Runway contestants, it is definitely one piece that is beautiful and has 2009 written all over it!

Now honestly, I have never been one for fashion weeks, but I am slowly but surely changing my opinion and I am definitely switching over to the dark side!  This piece is beautiful.  Honestly, I don’t think that there could be a prettier piece in the entire world.  The detailing on this amazing looking dress is simply incredible and while this is the first piece that I have seen out of the collection, I have to say that I want more!

While this piece was shown at the 2008 China Fashion Week, I have to say that if I was to go to a fashion week in the future, this one would be it, especially if they hold talented designers like the one that designed this beautiful piece!  While personally, I have no idea who designed this piece, I just think the fit, feel, color scheme and definitely the lines on it are absolutely breathtaking!

So if you happen to get a chance to go to fashion week in China, you should go!  Especially if there is quality like this available!

Now, we all know that haute couture is supposed to be a little bit off the wall, kind of crazy and definitely not wearable for the everyday person, but when I saw some of these outfits, I really had to sit down and think about it!  I mean, honestly!  These outfits are certainly out there and definitely worth seeing in a show and that is exactly why they were shown at London Fashion Week!

As you can probably tell, New York Fashion week is coming up and well, I just wanted to go through some of the other fashion weeks to prepare you for New York Fashion Week, as we all know that NYFW is one of the biggest things in the world!  Now, the London fashion week honestly kind of scares me but hey, if you are looking for a Halloween costume, you could definitely find one there!

However, if you do ever get a chance to see a Fashion Week, even if it is just New York, you should definitely go – they are incredible and honestly a once in a life time experience.

When it comes to Paris Fashion Week, everything needs to be bigger, better and certainly all glam and that is one of the main reasons why glitter is all in folks!  Honestly, glitter is hot and in Paris, especially at fashion week, there is nothing but glitter and glitz to be seen!  Whether the glitter is in the clothing or on the eyes, glitter is going to be hot this year!

That does not mean that you need to look like a drag queen though!  Many drag queens like to glitz is up quite a big and add on a huge amount of glitter onto their faces.  You certainly do not have to do that but if you are looking to add in some spice to your fashion, maybe just a few dots of glitter would be a great idea!

Glitter can be found anywhere and one of the best colors to use is white or colorless, that way you can put on your eye shadow or lip color and add in the white or colorless glitter for a flawless look!

So after the seventies, I did not think that I would see fringe back in style, but all of a sudden!  Designers are coming up with all sorts of skirts, dresses, shirts and pants that have all sorts of fringe and honestly, the runway is being covered in fringe!  So if you have one of those suede fringe jackets hiding in the back of your closet, you can now wear it!  It is definitely in style and you will be looking ever-so-fashionable!

Now when you are wearing fringe, there are a few things that you need to consider.  For instance, a pair of toned and long legs will work wonders with a short and fringed skirt, those that are lacking the toned pair should maybe opt for a longer length of skirt.  You always want to be sure that the fringe looks good itself.

It is pretty obvious that there are a lot of knock-off products available and while fringe is one of those things that you can pretty much buy anywhere, you want to be sure that the fabric moves great together and that the fringe does not clump unattractively together!

Do any of you watch Project Runway?  Well, if you do, you know exactly who I am going to bring up in this post: Remi.  Now, personally, I loved his stuff and I thought he was absolutely fabulous throughout the season, but he did have one single look and that was the Grecian Goddess look.  Well Remi, you should be gaining some business now because this look is in for spring 2009!

Personally, I think that these five looks in this picture are absolutely breathtaking and while many Grecian Goddess Draping outfits use too much fabric and are not tight enough, I think that many designers such as Elie Saab are finally getting it and making these dresses not only beautiful, but well-made as well.

Now, if you are looking to pull this beautiful draping look off – why not pair it with a pair of gladiator sandals, which are also becoming increasingly popular this year?  Or maybe even just a pair of strappy heeled shoes and some very exotic looking jewelry.  Remember, dress the outfit up ladies!
